Paralegal

We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You'll draft legal documents such as affidavits, prepare briefs, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible. Responsibilities: • Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions • Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits • Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed Independently manage ongoing case files and deadlinesPrepare and draft legal pleadings, discovery, affidavits, motions, and correspondenceConduct legal research and help prepare attorneys for hearings and trialsCommunicate with clients professionally — in person and by phone/emailSchedule and coordinate client meetings, deposition notices, hearings, etcFile documents with courts and ensure procedural complianceTrack case progress and update attorneys proactivelyMaintain meticulous and organized case files Qualifications: • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills Required: 3+ years of paralegal experience in family law (required) Demonstrable ability to manage one's own cases independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Confidence in interacting and meeting with clients Proficiency with legal case management software and MS Office Preferred: ABA-approved paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree Experience with civil litigation and court procedures Compensation: $65,000+ yearly depending on experience

$65,000 per year
