2026-2027 Lecturer - Agricultural & Resource Economics

Position Overview The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Davis invites applications for lecturer positions to teach courses in its undergraduate Managerial Economics major during the 2026-2027 academic year. Compensation and the duration of the appointment will depend on the number of courses assigned and the number of units per course. Salary range is approximately $70,977 - $98,249. Responsibilities Teach one or more undergraduate courses in the Managerial Economics major. Duties include full responsibility for course preparation and presentation, grading of exams, holding office hours outside of class, and supervising teaching assistants or readers if assigned. Service dates: Fall Quarter 2026: September 21, 2026 - December 11, 2026 Winter Quarter 2027: January 4, 2027 - March 19, 2027 Spring Quarter 2027: March 25, 2027 - June 10, 2027 Courses to be Taught ARE 18 - Business Law ARE 100A - Intermediate Microeconomics: Theory of Production and Consumption ARE 100B - Intermediate Microeconomics: Imperfect Competition, Markets and Welfare Economics ARE 115A - Economic Development ARE 106 - Econometric Theory and Applications ARE 118 - Tax Accounting ARE 119 - Intermediate Managerial Accounting ARE 136 - Managerial Marketing ARE 143 - Investments ARE 150 - Agricultural Labor ARE 155 - Operations Research and Management Science ARE 157 - Analysis for Operations and Production Management ARE 171 - Principles of Finance ARE 172 - Financial Management of the Firm Qualifications Basic qualifications: Evidence of teaching excellence and expertise in the subject matter area; a post-baccalaureate degree in the relevant subject matter area or equivalent advanced coursework and professional expertise at time of appointment.
