About Lincoln Media Foundation Lincoln Media Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media organization working to reshape the media landscape through news reporting, investigations, social media, documentaries, and long-form film. We produce and distribute content that challenges dominant progressive narratives and provides reporting and storytelling rooted in truth and accountability. Position Overview The Development Officer will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with current and prospective donors. This individual will use both their existing network and Lincoln Media Foundation’s network to establish meaningful connections, introduce prospective donors to our mission and projects, and create new fundraising opportunities across the country. The Development Officer will serve as the primary point of contact during the early stages of donor cultivation. They will be expected to clearly pitch Lincoln Media Foundation’s mission, programs, and funding opportunities, establish donor interest, and prepare prospective supporters before coordinating meetings with organizational leadership. The ideal candidate is highly personable, proactive, organized, and comfortable representing Lincoln Media Foundation in meetings, events, and donor conversations. This person must be genuinely aligned with the organization’s mission of combatting progressive bias in mainstream media to clearly communicate the impact of our work. What You’ll Be Doing Identify and cultivate prospective individual, foundation, and major donors Leverage personal and organizational networks to secure donor introductions and opportunities Introduce and pitch Lincoln Media Foundation’s mission, projects, and funding needs to prospective donors Build donor interest and establish a strong understanding of the organization before involving leadership Qualify prospective donors and determine appropriate next steps for cultivation Coordinate donor meetings in key markets across the country once meaningful interest has been established Prepare leadership for donor meetings with relevant background information, donor interests, and fundraising materials Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing donors Keep donors informed about Lincoln Media Foundation’s programs, accomplishments, growth, and impact Conduct consistent follow-up and track donor communications, commitments, and next steps Attend fundraising events, donor meetings, and organizational events as needed Work with leadership to develop fundraising strategies and identify new opportunities Maintain accurate donor records and support the organization’s overall development goals What We’re Looking For Strong alignment with Lincoln Media Foundation’s mission and values Established professional, philanthropic, political, or community network Experience in fundraising, donor relations, business development, sales, or a related field Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills Ability to confidently pitch the organization, secure meetings, and maintain consistent follow-up Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple donor relationships Willingness to travel and represent the organization at meetings and events nationwide #J-18808-Ljbffr Lincoln Media Foundation
