Festival Production Supervisor, Video Content

POSITION OVERVIEWThe Festival Production Supervisor, Video Content supports Sundance Institutes commitment to creating content that highlights the needed work of independent filmmakers, and the resources that Sundance Institute provides these artists.Working closely under the direction of Content Producer, Festival Production Supervisor, Video Content follows industry standard practices to organize, communicate, and coordinate media production workflows and scheduling.This temporary position works full-time (40 hours per week) from Monday, October 12, 2026 to Friday, February 19, 2027 and will be required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This position may be based within a commutable distance to Boulder, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY, until the department comes together in Boulder, CO in January to support the in-person elements of the Festival. Top priorities include but are not limited toWorking with the Content team to monitor production schedules to deliver initial cuts ahead of due dates, in order to allow adequate time for revisions prior to deadlines.Responding to requests for photo and video from internal stakeholders, and support in creating daily schedules for on-the-ground capture.Collaborating with stakeholders, creative teams, and Festival personnel on all projects to generate high-quality marketing materials.Helping to oversee volunteers and contractors as needed.Receiving and routing feedback and racking revisions for assigned content.Preparing assets for delivery with all requested accessibility measures and basic technical finishing.Handling producing duties as needed including, seeking approvals, gathering needed assets, etc.Tracking video assets from raw footage to completed video edits, social cutdowns, and user-generated content (UGC). .Attending and participating in meetings, daily production, wrap, etc.Writing a comprehensive wrap report as instructed.You have the following direct or transferable qualifications and skills:3 years of field production supervisor experience, agency liaison experience, or related.Ability to solve problems proactively and positively.Strong leadership skills to manage a small team.Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people.Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize effectively.Ability to maintain confidential information.Ability to move items up to 50 lbs.Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products preferred.Legal authorization to work in the United States.You will be successful in this role if you...Collaborate and communicate effectively within your team.Maintain a positive and proactive approach to video production.Ask questions and seek out the answers you need.Effectively prioritize and coordinate projects, keeping things organized to meet deadlines.Enjoy creating video content that spotlights independent artists and their workIn addition to a weekly pay of $1,111.23*, this position** is eligible for benefits & perks, highlights include:Paid sick leave and Institute holidaysEmployee assistance programEmployee Wellness InitiativesSundance Film Festival passes and benefits (varies each year)**Applications open 9/11/2026 and will be accepted for at least one weekLocation: Department: CR - Creative
