Job Description As a Security Officer Area Patrol in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon05:00 AM - 01:00 PM Tue05:00 AM - 01:00 PM Wed05:00 AM - 01:00 PM Thur05:00 AM - 01:00 PM Fri05:00 AM - 01:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, behavioral concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and document incidents in accordance with site procedures. Communicate professionally with healthcare staff, visitors, and emergency responders to support a welcoming and orderly environment. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
