Role : Assistant Quality Assurance Manager (Nuclear)

Location : Idaho Falls, ID

Salary : $125K - 135K + Per Diem

Duration : Direct-Hire

We are seeking an experienced QA professional to support quality programs on complex Nuclear and DOE construction projects governed by ASME NQA-1 standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects while helping drive compliance, quality culture, and operational excellence in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of the Quality Assurance Program in accordance with ASME NQA-1, DOE, and project requirements
• Conduct audits, assessments, surveillances, and field observations
• Assist with corrective actions, nonconformance reporting, and root cause investigations
• Participate in supplier audits, evaluations, and oversight activities
• Review quality documentation, inspection records, and material certifications
• Promote nuclear safety culture and procedural compliance across project teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA experience in Nuclear, DOE, Power Generation, DOD, or other regulated industries
• 3+ years working under an ASME NQA-1 QA Program
• Experience supporting large-scale nuclear construction projects , particularly in concrete and civil construction quality programs
• Background in construction quality, concrete, inspection, or testing

Strong knowledge of

• ASME NQA-1
• 10 CFR 50 Appendix B
• Auditing and corrective action programs
• Nuclear quality culture
• Experience conducting audits and supplier oversight
• Strong communication and technical interpretation skills

Preferred

• ASQ CQA or NQA-1 Lead Auditor certification
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering-related field
