Sr. Financial Analyst

Overview We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver high-quality financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic reporting that drives business decision-making across the organization. This role serves as a key finance partner to operational and leadership teams — translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights on performance, costs, and trends. The ideal candidate brings deep analytical skills, a strong grasp of accounting principles, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Responsibilities Planning & Forecasting Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes, partnering with department managers to develop accurate and timely financial plans Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, capital investment decisions, pricing analysis, and profitability reviews Reporting & Analysis Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year Analyze business unit and branch-level financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities and presenting findings to senior leadership Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, and working capital metrics Accounting & Compliance Support month-end and year-end close processes by partnering with the accounting team to ensure accuracy of financial results and proper accruals Assist with annual financial audits and ensure financial reporting is in compliance with GAAP and internal policies Process Improvement Drive improvements to financial reporting tools, dashboards, and processes to increase efficiency and data quality Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling) Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening Fosters good coworker citizenship and contributes to a positive work environment Preferred MBA or CPA Experience with Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or similar reporting tools Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Business Central and/or Epicor Prelude a plus Experience within the distribution, automotive, diesel, or transportation industry Working Conditions This is a desk-based role in a standard office environment. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, with the ability to perform repetitive motions such as typing and filing, and to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
