UNIT MANAGER

Job Details Job Location: City of Industry, CA 91748 Salary Range: $23.00 - $25.00 Hourly We are looking for an energetic team member who shares our passion for outstanding customer service and high-quality food. The ideal candidate will perform essential duties and responsibilities including proficiency in the following restaurant duties: Responsibilities General management of staff, including hiring, training, coaching, performance direction, addressing under-performance, status changes, promotions, rate changes, and terminations; customarily and regularly directs work of two or more other employees. Maintain staff levels through recruiting, interviewing, completing pre-employment screening, and hiring new crew members to ensure adequate coverage. Manage labor costs via unit staff scheduling, hour adjustments based on revenue, crew meal periods, and rest break management. Ensure employees sign and approve daily break logs and timeclock punches. Conduct crew training: new hires, food preparation certifications, regular observations, complete checklists for new hires and transferred employees, quarterly safety meetings. Complete operational duties such as daily and monthly closing paperwork, food inventory, orders, disposal of expired food, daily revenue reconciliation, invoice reconciliation, supply inventory, and placement of supply orders. Perform cash management duties including register audits, cash management and orders from security guard company, daily safe audit, bank deposit preparation, sign bank deposit documentation. Manage the store Point of Sale System: add/delete employees, wage adjustments, crew & manager cards, key activation, inventory cost adjustments, report analysis. Ensure all crew members complete Tommy’s Training Programs and maintain all applicable documentation. Optimize profits by controlling food, beverage, supply and labor costs; increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution. Maintain employee personnel files, labor law compliance, and ensure safety and food certifications are current. Ensure staff is aware of and complies with security and surveillance practices. Oversee maintenance upkeep of equipment to OSHA, state, federal and company standards. Resolve customer incidents and complaints; manage Secret Shopper results to meet Tommy’s standard. Maintain overall standards per the Visitation Checklist. Be competent and knowledgeable regarding duties of crew members, crew leads, and assistant managers. Exercise discretion and independent judgement in management of restaurant operations. Show respect to customers, management and employees, interacting pleasantly and upbeatly. Demonstrate professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork. Demonstrate high quality of work, attendance and appearance. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and local, state, and federal laws. Perform other duties assigned by manager related to your position. Qualifications 5-7 years of relevant experience.
