Staff Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate will have experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records
• Support financial statement preparation and reporting
• Review and analyze account activity to identify discrepancies
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit support
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support various accounting and finance projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis
• Experience with accounting and ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
• Experience with financial reporting and general ledger systems
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technology platforms
• Strong data entry and account reconciliation skills
