Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a physical therapist specializing in school-based settings. You’ll support students in reaching developmental and educational milestones by providing targeted physical therapy services near Malo, WA.
This position requires you to deliver 30-minute therapy sessions twice a month, helping students enhance motor skills, mobility, and independence within their school environment. Collaboration with educators and caregivers is essential to incorporate therapy strategies into daily classroom routines and ensure a holistic approach to each student's success.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Familiarity with school-based documentation and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills with students, families, and staff
- Adaptability, organization, and a commitment to promoting student achievement
Responsibilities:
- Conduct 30-minute physical therapy service sessions twice monthly for assigned students
- Assess student needs, develop therapy plans, and monitor progress aligned with IEP goals
- Coordinate closely with teachers, staff, and family members
- Document sessions and progress according to school requirements
- Consult and provide resources to staff for integrating PT recommendations into learning activities
