Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity ICU on a winter contract basis. The role involves providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting complex clinical procedures, and floating within multiple hospital sites as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, ensuring timely interventions.
• Perform and support bedside procedures such as Trach and G-Tube placements, endoscopies, and bronchoscopy.
• Interpret cardiac strips, including EKGs and dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float between units and facilities while maintaining high-quality nursing standards.
• Complete required orientation modules and maintain compliance with travel and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in any state or a compact license.
• Minimum of 1.5 years recent experience in a large hospital ICU; level 1 preferred.
• Demonstrated competence in EPIC charting and inpatient cardiac monitoring.
• Ability to read and interpret strips, including Trach, BLS, and ACLS certification.
• Prior travel or float experience preferred.
• Must pass an online tele competency assessment prior to start.
