**This role will require 50% travel to client Data Centers across the country for deployment activities**Top Skills:Windows Server and Hypervisor experience (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization platforms), including strong understanding of virtualization concepts, server deployments, and system administrationNetworking fundamentals, including switching, routing, and firewall conceptsnot expected to design or configure from scratch, but must understand how the components work togetherIP addressing expertise, including subnetting, network connectivity, and configuration activities required during deployments and migrationsApplication deployment and configuration experience; including installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise applications in Windows-based environments• SQL Server experience; specifically backup, restore, data migration, and troubleshooting activitiesDescriptionThis role is responsible for deploying, migrating, and supporting public safety platforms (CAD, RMS, and related applications) running on customer-owned infrastructure.The field engineer acts as a generalist across servers, virtualization, operating systems, networking, storage, and application deployment. Much of the work follows standardized deployment procedures, but success depends heavily on troubleshooting skills and the ability to work directly with customer technical teams.The team stages and configures infrastructure, deploys applications, performs hardware refreshes and migrations, restores databases, validates system functionality, and supports customers through cutover and transition activities.
