Sr. Cash Accountant

This position will be a member of the WhiteWater accounting department in Austin. The role assists in daily cash accounting operations, prepares cash journal entries and reconciliations, executes the company’s daily cash payment and receipt process, ensures accurate allocation of funds across multiple entities and accounts, and supports liquidity planning and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Assists in daily cash accounting operations and prioritizes workloads Monitors daily bank balances, liquidity needs, and cash positions across multiple accounts and legal entities Executes payment processing, including wire transfers, ACH disbursements, internal transfers and transfer requests Prepares weekly cash forecasts across multiple accounts and entities Prepares daily cash postings and transaction coding activities Executes the company’s cash waterfall process and creates transfer requests Executes payments in the treasury management system and bank portals Creates monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, clearing accounts, and cash subledgers Investigates and resolves discrepancies related to bank activity, receipts, disbursements, and cash applications Adheres to an assigned schedule to best support the position’s workgroup and related departments Qualifications 3+ years of experience in cash accounting and treasury operations Experience with project finance structures such as cash waterfalls and transfer requests Experience with treasury management systems and bank portals Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration Benefits This position is located in Austin, Texas and is an in‑office position.
