Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required, previous charge experience is preferred. License: Valid state nursing license required. Compact license must be in hand before submission. Certifications: BLS, NRP, and CLC (or equivalent). Must-Have: - Experience with labor and delivery in an LDRP setting. - Ability to float between units as needed for skills utilization. - Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as scheduled. Description: This position is for an LDRP OB nurse. Responsibilities include triaging, laboring, recovering, and caring for postpartum patients and newborns. The facility is a small critical access hospital. The expected patient ratios are 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5, and 1:6. It is required to have experience with wireless fetal monitoring and other related procedures. Seasoned travelers are preferred, as familiarity with Epic charting system is necessary. Must be able to assist with all areas of obstetrics, including newborn care. This role involves working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, which includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Holidays and weekends are mandatory, with holiday assignments scheduled in pairs. Candidates may be expected to float to nearby facilities as needed. Flexibility in scheduling is required to fulfill the contract obligations.
