Clinical Supervisor (BCBA)

Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000. The Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) is a leading organization dedicated to providing evidence‑based applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Position Overview The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the clinical management of treatment for patients under their supervision. Key duties include assessment, planning, implementation oversight, caregiver collaboration, and continuing education of behavioral technicians. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Use clinical judgment to promote optimal patient outcomes. Develop, maintain, and update treatment plans. Ensure all supervision hours meet 100% treatment adherence each month. Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths. Analyze challenging behaviors to determine their function. Create functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors. Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions. Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols. Direct behavioral technicians in implementing new or revised treatment protocols. Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians. Work physically within the center to support technicians and observe best practices. Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress towards treatment goals and adjust protocols based on data. Update treatment plans at least once per month, based on patient response. Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory and therapy hours. Accurately communicate treatment response to stakeholders, including caregivers and payers. Coordinate care with other professionals. Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments. Include caregiver as part of the treatment team, evidenced by consistent caregiver collaboration meetings. Interact with payers in a collaborative, professional, thorough, and informative manner. Engage with payers as needed for funding meetings (e.g., IEP, peer reviews). Maintain current knowledge of best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence. Maintain appropriate documentation in skill and medical records. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues. Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues. Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times. Partner consistently and effectively with other center leadership, including the Operations Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator, Technician, and Behavior Technician Leads. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field (required). Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (required). Experience working with individuals with ASD (required). Independent problem solver using sound clinical judgment. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient computer skills: MS Excel, Word, Outlook; comfortable with new systems and iPads. Willingness to continuously learn and develop skill sets. Willingness to work in various locations (center, patient home, etc.). Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance. Must pass a tuberculosis test. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Physical Requirements Work with patients seated on the floor, in chairs, or in various home, school, and community environments. Move frequently throughout therapeutic settings to gather materials, anticipate patient movements, or provide instruction. Adjust posture to participate in patient behaviors: bending, kneeling, crouching, hurrying, or reaching. Use continuous visual tracking to monitor patient movements and surrounding items. Evade aggressive behaviors or physically block attempts to aggress towards others when necessary. Model vocal speech and teach patients to articulate sound clearly. Model gross motor skills such as climbing or jumping and fine motor skills such as clapping. Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions as required. Lift weights up to 30 lbs. while assisting patients. Work Environment Treatment may occur in multiple settings: patient home, CARD center, school, community, or via telehealth.
