The Emergency Medicine Medical Director at Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio, is a dual clinical and administrative role. Leaders blend patient care with strategic oversight, mentoring providers, driving performance improvement, ensuring regulatory compliance, and aligning clinical operations with hospital initiatives.

The position entails the following core requirements and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic & Clinical Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate Emergency Department physicians and APCs (Advanced Practice Clinicians), and serve as the lead physician representative for the EM service line. 
\n
• Operational & Performance Oversight: Drive performance improvement initiatives, mitigate risks, and manage utilization, quality, and risk management programs. 
\n
• Departmental Stability: Assist with staffing, scheduling, and provider recruitment to maintain seamless emergency care delivery for the community. 
\n
• Compliance: Ensure departmental compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and policy standards.

Position Overview

\n

As Medical Director, you will collaborate closely with both the Emergency Medicine team and Wilson Healths administrative leadership. You will serve as the physician leader for OSU Physicians/CHP at Wilson Health, supporting providers, managing medical staff concerns, and ensuring seamless alignment between clinical operations and hospital initiatives.

\n

This role allows you to influence patient care, provider performance, and departmental efficiency while continuing to practice emergency medicine.
