Salary: $140,000 – $165,000

About the Role

JANUS et cie, a luxury outdoor furniture company, is seeking a Director of Operations to lead its cushions department. As a member of the management team, you will oversee manufacturing, distribution, and logistics for all cushion operations, from scheduling and production to timely delivery to our customers, while running a cost-efficient production facility.

You will manage a team of direct reports and work with all levels of the organization, including employees and outside vendors. This position is on-site at our production facility in Santa Fe Springs, CA.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee Cushion department activities to ensure materials and capacity for quality, on-time production
• Lead all cushion production scheduling to use resources cost-effectively and meet customer deadlines
• Manage material levels and flow in support of production
• Establish and monitor performance objectives for materials, scheduling, and operations
• Analyze existing processes and tools, and lead process improvement initiatives
• Develop goals and objectives for each function within cushion operations
• Standardize operations processes to achieve cost savings and reliable delivery
• Develop and monitor operating plans that keep the company within budget while driving efficiencies
• Lead and manage direct reports

What You Bring

• Several years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably furniture, textiles, or apparel
• Experience implementing best practices in materials and operations
• Proficiency in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) — required
• Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Ability to challenge the status quo and recommend process improvements to management
