Day.Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a DIRECTOR- ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES to join ourENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES team! The Director of Environmental Services, Patient Transport, and Linen Services provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for support service operations at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and Aspirus Merrill Hospital. The Director is accountable for maintaining safe, clean, patient-centered care environments while ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, exceptional customer service, employee engagement, and fiscal stewardship. This leader collaborates across the organization to support patient throughput, infection prevention, environmental safety, and an outstanding experience for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff. The Director partners with Nursing, Perioperative Services, Radiology, Environmental Services, and Patient Flow teams to improve patient throughput, bed turnover, transport efficiency, discharge processes, and overall hospital capacity while supporting timely access to care.Experience/QualificationsBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Environmental Services, or related field required.Master's degree preferred.Five to seven years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.Experience leading multiple departments and multidisciplinary teams preferred.Multi-site leadership experience preferredPreferred Certifications: CHESP, CHEST, Certified Healthcare Leader, Lean/Six SigmaInterpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with staff, vendors and other departments.Analytical and computer skills necessary in order to analyze, gather and enter data concerning finance, personnel, supply and equipment needs, and assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.Employee BenefitsFull benefits packages available for part- and full-time status.PTO accrual from day one!Generous retirement plan with match available.Wellness program for employees and their families.Aspirus Wausau Hospital, the flagship of the Aspirus system, serves northeastern Minnesota, northern and central Wisconsin, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
