Key Responsibilities As a Preschool Teacher, you’ll promote preschool readiness, emotional intelligence, and social skill development—while working closely with families. Curriculum & Instruction Implement lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and individualized instruction. Lead circle time, group activities, learning centers, and classroom transitions. Foster early academic skills including pre‑literacy, numeracy, fine motor skills, and language development. Utilize observation and assessment tools to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Family Communication & School Collaboration Maintain open communication with families through daily updates, progress reports, and scheduled conferences. Support and attend family engagement events, parent education sessions, and school celebrations. Collaborate with school administrators and fellow teachers to ensure alignment with school goals and state licensing standards. Qualifications Minimum 1–2 years of classroom experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center. Proven ability to lead classroom activities and routines with confidence and consistency. Strong knowledge of child development, learning domains, and early intervention best practices. Effective communication skills with children, families, and co‑workers. A love for young children and a commitment to their growth and well‑being. Preferred Experience Familiarity with curriculum models such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori is preferred, as our proprietary curriculum incorporates elements from both approaches.
