Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, primarily day/evening rotations (most shifts 0900-2130 or 1100-2330, with some variable start times including 0630-1900 and 1830-0700). Weekend rotation (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and every other holiday required. Four 12-hour shifts per week. Assignment length up to 26 weeks available.

• Combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department with all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 19-room Emergency Department with approximately 70 daily census serving typical ER diagnoses
• Cerner charting system with barcode scanning requirements
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
• Free on-site parking provided
• Floating to other units as needed; local candidates (within 50 miles) not accepted

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only accepted)
• Must pass facility telemetry examination prior to start date with strict passing criteria (80% minimum score, 100% identification of lethal rhythms required)
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, triage, IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP management, procedural sedation, phlebotomy, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
