Job Description

CDL Class A/B Vac Truck Operator – Akron, OH

Pay: $30–$40/hr + Overtime

We are seeking an experienced CDL Class A or B Vac Truck Operator to join our team in Akron, OH. This position involves operating automatic vacuum trucks and performing industrial cleaning, hydro-excavation, and waste transportation services at various job sites.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate and maintain automatic vacuum trucks and related equipment
Perform hydro-excavation, tank cleaning, line flushing, and industrial cleaning services
Load, transport, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials including liquids, sludge, and solids
Operate vacuum hoses and pumping systems
Transport materials to approved disposal and treatment facilities
Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures

Requirements:

Valid CDL Class A or B license
Air Brake endorsement required
Tanker endorsement required
Vac Truck experience required
Minimum 1 year CDL driving experience
Automatic transmission experience preferred
Strong safety awareness and mechanical aptitude
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and industrial environments

Schedule:

Monday–Friday
7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Travel to multiple job sites throughout the area
Overtime and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
Ability to work around heavy equipment, noise, and industrial materials
Comfortable working in confined spaces
