Position Summary

A well-established organization in Coral Gables is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This is an opportunity for a strong accounting professional to take on a visible role within a sophisticated organization where accuracy, analytical thinking, and continuous improvement are valued.

The position offers the opportunity to contribute beyond routine accounting by helping improve reporting, leverage data, and create more efficient financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close and financial reporting activities
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Analyze financial data, identify variances, and research accounting discrepancies
• Ensure accounting activities and financial reporting are performed in accordance with US GAAP
• Develop and enhance financial analyses and reporting using advanced Excel functionality
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes
• Assist with data analytics and reporting enhancement initiatives
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation and contribute to audit readiness
• Partner with finance and other internal teams to resolve accounting and reporting matters
• Manage multiple accounting priorities while meeting established reporting deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience required
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis
• Experience with process automation, data analytics, or reporting enhancements
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Banking or financial services industry experience strongly preferred
• Big Four or public accounting firm experience is a plus
• Bilingual English/Portuguese or English/Spanish
