Legal Research Analyst

Our client is seeking a Legal Research Analyst to support attorneys through comprehensive legal research, analysis, and knowledge management initiatives. This role will focus on navigating complex legal databases, synthesizing information from a variety of sources, supporting legal technology initiatives, and enhancing access to legal resources across the organization. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive legal research using a variety of online and print resources. Analyze and synthesize complex legal information into clear, concise reports and summaries. Support attorneys by identifying relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources. Monitor legal developments and maintain research alerts on emerging case law, legislation, and industry news. Assist with legal technology initiatives, including evaluating and optimizing research tools and information resources. Maintain and enhance the organization's internal knowledge management resources, ensuring information is accurate, current, and easily accessible. Develop research guides, reference materials, and best practices to improve access to legal information. Collaborate with attorneys and business teams to organize, preserve, and improve legal knowledge assets. Identify opportunities to enhance research workflows, information organization, and knowledge-sharing processes. Stay current on emerging legal research methodologies, technology, and information management trends. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctor or Master's degree in Library Sciencestrongly preferred. 3+ years of experience in legal research, knowledge management, or a related field. Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, or similar tools. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal information and communicate findings clearly and effectively. Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail. Experience supporting legal technology platforms or knowledge management initiatives preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and cross-functional teams.
