Quality Specialist

The Quality Specialist is responsible for maintaining product and service quality through inspections, testing, documentation, training, and process improvement. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company, FDA, OSHA, and other applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform quality inspections, incoming/outgoing checks, and document findings.

Maintain DHRs, DMRs, QRTN areas, quality records, and product documentation.

Ensure outgoing products have required pictures/videos and accurate shipment counts and serial numbers.

Identify, investigate, document, and escalate quality issues, deviations, and CAPAs.

Support audits, bid checks, product changes, and new product rollouts.

Develop and provide quality and technical training for employees, dealers, and customers.

Lead quality improvement projects and recommend process improvements.

Analyze quality data, processes, and procedures to improve customer experience.

Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and assist with technical service activities.

Lead, coach, and support team members while maintaining a professional, collaborative environment.

Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA, FDA, and applicable state/federal regulations.

Support interviews, employee documentation, timekeeping, and other administrative responsibilities.

Stay current on product and industry trends.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

3+ years of quality, manufacturing, or Lean manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Quality experience is required; Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or TPS certification is a plus.

Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor, NetSuite, or similar.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally address team challenges.

Dependable with strong attendance.

Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
