Employee Benefits Account Executive

The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Canton, MA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office position.Responsibilities:Develop and implement benefit strategies that are both innovative and compliant, leveraging creative thinking to address client needsPartner with producers to lead client meetings, presentations, and onboarding of new clientsActively participate in strategic discussions, providing out-of-the-box solutions and consulting expertise to enhance clients’ benefit programsManage benefit program implementations and oversee annual renewal processesDefine and execute strategies to maintain ACA compliance and expand consulting servicesDevelop and maintain annual planning calendars for assigned clients, ensuring deadlines are met with precisionProvide guidance, training, and mentorship to Account Managers and Client Care SpecialistsEncourage innovative thinking within the team to solve client challenges effectivelyDelegate tasks efficiently, ensuring proper training and onboarding of junior staffAct as the primary escalation point for client concerns, resolving issues with innovative and strategic approachesAssist clients with benefit plan design, open enrollment tools, and long-term strategy developmentCollaborate with benefit carriers to craft solutions aligned with client goals and regulatory standardsOversee client compliance with regulations such as ACA, DOL audits, and PCORI reportingStay updated on compliance, benchmarking, reporting, and analytics to provide cutting-edge solutionsCreate and review client-focused messaging strategies and benefits-related communication contentRepresent the company at market meetings, client functions, industry seminars, and training programsQualifications:High school diploma required; college coursework preferredLife and Health (L&H) license required5+ years of experience in a carrier or broker-related environmentExceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilitiesDetail-oriented with excellent decision-making and analytical capabilitiesOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to build and maintain strong client relationshipsEffective in both independent and team-oriented work environmentsExpertise in project management and delivering strategic outcomesProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteWillingness to travel, including overnight tripsFlexibility to conduct after-hours meetings as neededBenefits:Compensation: $120,000/yr.Company Paid Life Insurance, Long-Term and Short-Term Disability.Medical, Dental, Vision and FSA/HSA plans.401(k) with company match.Additional voluntary benefits including Critical Illness, Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity and Supplemental Life Insurance, Legal and Identity Protection, and Pet benefits.Generous PTO.An awesome team of professionals!The Hilb Group is an equal opportunity employer, and we actively support and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws prohibiting all forms of discrimination in employment.
