The department provides comprehensive, innovative, and minimally invasive care across the full spectrum of urologic diseases and disorders, with expertise in urologic oncology, kidney stone disease, endourology, robotic and reconstructive surgery, female urology and urogynecology, male infertility and sexual health, pediatric urology, and general urology. The department is committed to educating the next generation of physicians through accredited residency, fellowship, medical student, continuing medical education (CME), and community outreach programs while advancing groundbreaking research and surgical innovation. Your Role on the Team Applies knowledge about curriculum, requirements and educational activities to coordinate professional health education programs. Plan, coordinate, and manage all departmental events, including educational programs, conferences, meetings, recognition events, and other special events. Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including logistics, scheduling, venue coordination, vendor management, registration, communications, materials preparation, budget tracking, and post-event evaluation to ensure successful outcomes and a positive participant experience. Under the general supervision of the Operations Administrator, the Education and Community Programs Manager serves as the primary resource for the Department of Urology's Education Division and its staff. The incumbent partners with program directors, faculty, and education coordinators in the management, administration, and strategic direction of residency, fellowship, medical student, CME, and other educational programs. Major responsibilities include coordinating educational activities, supporting incoming and current learners, maintaining curriculum and educational resources, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, supervising education staff, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department's education programs. The Education Manager applies advanced knowledge of medical education principles, accreditation requirements, and curriculum administration to coordinate professional health education programs. Responsibilities include managing teaching and learning activities, curriculum development and implementation, learner scheduling, maintaining education databases, monitoring learner compliance, supporting accreditation activities, and implementing process improvements to ensure operational excellence. In addition, the Education Manager provides oversight for departmental community programs and outreach initiatives, including the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community education events, health awareness campaigns, patient education programs, and strategic partnerships. The incumbent coordinates logistics, budgets, communications, marketing, stakeholder engagement, and program assessment to ensure successful delivery of outreach activities that support the department's mission and strategic goals. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement processes and systems. Thorough knowledge of the administrative and operational implications in a program. Demonstrated experience and documented excellence in oral and written communications skills; includes active listening and critical thinking. Strong interpersonal skills. Actively cooperates and supports the work of others. Ability to work productively with anyone regardless of background. Empathetic and aware of impact on others. Strong problem-solving skills to assist learners and resolve issues. Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to complete work and meet established deadlines in an accurate and timely manner, and to manage short and competing deadlines. Thorough knowledge of data management, documentation methods used in investigating and presenting findings about the program. Skills include statistical analysis of data across databases and systems. Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training Master's degree in related area preferred A minimum of 7 years of experience. Previous experience leading or supervising a team. Preferred: Thorough knowledge of educational software and platforms. Demonstrated ability to analyze and seek solutions to enhance the user experience. Special Conditions: Weekend and after-hours work required.
