Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a contract Occupational Therapist in a vibrant school setting near Hoquiam, WA. This position offers the chance to make a lasting difference for a diverse group of young learners by providing therapeutic services throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Occupational Therapist license
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) Certification required
- Experience delivering OT services in school environments is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with children, families, and educational teams
- Dedication to fostering growth in elementary-aged students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to an assigned caseload of 42 elementary students, adapting interventions to address their unique needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and participate in the multidisciplinary evaluation process
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success across academic and functional settings
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress reports, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing expertise and insights to shape student-centered goals
Position Details:
- Contract role from ASAP through June 23rd, 2027
- 37.5 hours per week, following the standard school schedule
- Serve a close-knit elementary population, offering support and interventions designed to empower students
