We are looking for a talented individual to join our dynamic Keystone team located in Kalamazoo, MI. The Human Resource Manager is a motivated self-starter who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resource expertise. The Human Resource Manager owns and manages the human resource activities while effectively managing all benefit programs and employee engagement activities while positioning Keystone for growth.

A successful Human Resources Coordinator must be capable of working with minimal supervision, have a "can do" attitude, possess creative problem-solving skills and be willing to do "whatever it takes" to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively. This team member should have excellent interpersonal skills, great attention to detail and be highly organized with the ability to multi task with minimum interruption to work progress.

Job Duties

• Leads recruitment, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of job applicants, for managerial, production, exempt, and professional roles ensuring hired personnel meet the specific qualification requirements for the position
• Provides leadership, direction, and day-to-day management of HR Coordinator staff, including establishing priorities, assigning responsibilities, coaching and developing team members, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely and accurate execution of HR processes and responsibilities.
• Leads and manages the new hire orientation process; properly introduces new employees to the corporate culture by conducting new hire orientations and onboarding according to plan
• Manage employee benefit programs and administration including employee engagement programs
• Manage all STD, LTD, FMLA, Workers Compensation and Unemployment claims
• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
• Responsible for monitoring compliance and management with Health Care Reform requirements and federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
• Supports the Safety Program in collaboration with Operations
• Counsel, and provide guidance to, leaders and managers for appropriate resolution to employee relation issues, conflict resolution, compliance and help reach appropriate resolutions
• Be the point of contact for team members for a variety of employment related items
• Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
• Maintains and administers the Employee Handbook and related HR policies and procedures; regularly reviews and recommends updates to ensure consistency with current federal, state, and local employment laws, regulatory requirements, and Company practices. Ensures policies are consistently communicated, understood, and applied throughout the organization.
• Oversees the administration of ADP payroll and timekeeping systems, ensuring employee information, time records, payroll changes, and related processes are accurate and completed timely. Provides oversight and support to HR staff responsible for payroll and onboarding activities and serves as backup for payroll processing as needed.
• Oversees the administration and integrity of employee personnel, timekeeping, and related HR records, ensuring records are accurate, complete, confidential, and maintained in accordance with Company policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures employee personnel files, CVs, qualifications, and other required employment documentation are appropriately maintained and current, including oversight of record retention and documentation requirements.
• Effectively communicates through a variety of channels to promote position and company with confidence along with strong networking and relationship-building skills
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in working directly with employees
• Promotes company culture to achieve open communications between employer and employee goals and needs
• Supports team building activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or 4+ years equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of Human Resource working experience
• PHR or SHRM certification preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working directly with employees
• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, sometimes requiring extended work hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays to ensure minimal interruption to production. The work environment for this position will be both an office environment and manufacturing work cells and cleanroom environments.
