Manager, Public Affairs Content Lead

Develop and maintain narrative frameworks for priority policy, access, reputation, and business issues Build message architectures, message maps, talking points, FAQs, and positioning documents Translate complex topics into clear and persuasive communications for diverse audiences Shape North America Public Affairs communications on emerging issues and strategic priorities Lead development of issue briefs, policy primers, thought leadership content, executive presentations, briefing materials, messaging platforms, and toolkits Adapt content for multiple channels and audiences Partner with subject matter authorities to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and strategic alignment Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and responsiveness Manage content planning supporting Center for U.S. Healthcare Policy Research Translate research findings into accessible content products Collaborate with Public Affairs, Government Affairs & Policy, Communications, Scientific Affairs, Legal, business teams, agencies, and vendors Support integrated campaigns, issue advocacy, executive engagement, reputation-building, rapid response, and issue management Establish efficient content development, review, and deployment approaches Improve quality, speed, and consistency through modern content practices and AI-enabled tools Develop reusable content resources and messaging assets Support repeatable workflows for stakeholder intelligence and responsible, compliant use of data and AI-enabled tools Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 5–8 years of related experience Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills Experience developing executive-level communications and critical messaging Ability to synthesize complex policy, scientific, regulatory, or business topics into clear and actionable communications Proven ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment Strong partner management and cross-functional collaboration skills Preferred: Healthcare policy, pharmaceuticals, or regulated-industry experience Preferred: Experience supporting public affairs, advocacy, market access, or reputation initiatives Preferred: Experience working with research-based communications Preferred: Familiarity with AI-enabled content development tools and modern communications workflows Preferred: Experience managing external communications agencies and strategic partners Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in developing clear and persuasive communications for diverse audiences, with a strong focus on healthcare policy and public affairs.
