No information obtained in this application is intended to be used for such discriminationJOB PURPOSEThe Director of Finance provides strategic leadership and oversight of theorganization’s financial operations, ensuring integrity, accuracy, andcompliance with all accounting and reporting functions. This position leads themaintenance of the general ledger and oversees Payroll; Payments andBanking; General Accounting; Budget, Grants, and Financial Planning; Ratesand Analytics; Pension and Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) and Treasury Management.This role ensures strong internal controls, effective resource management, andalignment of financial strategies with organizational objectives. ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS: Develop and present annual business plans aligned withorganizational strategy, including revenue targets, KPIs, budget and headcountrecommendations, and project timelines integrated across departments. Providestrategic leadership and oversight for all financial reporting functions, managingcore financial management and control processes. Direct rate and revenuemanagement, budgeting, forecasting, and financial resource allocation to ensurefiscal sustainability and operational efficiency. Oversee budget development,grant monitoring, and comprehensive financial reporting to ensure accuracy,transparency, and accountability. Lead the development, implementation, andgovernance of financial systems, ensuring compliance with group accountingstandards, statutory requirements, GAAP, and internal controls. Establish andmaintain financial policies, procedures, and protocols to promote regulatorycompliance and sound financial practices. Deliver authoritative financial andtechnical recommendations to senior leadership, influencing short- and long-termbusiness decisions and strategic initiatives. Ensure departmental compliancewith external regulations, voluntary codes, and internal policies to mitigate riskand protect organizational integrity. Assess departmental capabilities, identifyskill gaps, and implement formal development frameworks to strengthenperformance and succession planning. Coach and mentor staff to enhanceleadership capacity and support talent development. Set clear performanceobjectives, monitor results, hold team members accountable, and implementcorrective actions to achieve annual business goals. Perform other duties asdirected.QualificationsJOB DESCRIPTIONLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSA valid driver's license from state of residence is required.EDUCATIONBachelor' s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or relatedfield is required. Master's degree is preferred.EXPERIENCEMinimum of seven (7) years of professional related experience in Finance orrelated roles within the utility sector including four (4) years of managementexperience. Experience in interpreting strategy and policy to set anddeliver objectives within medium to long time.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONMust successfully complete NIMS Training within one year of entering job. Works in the office under good conditions. Physical Demands: Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment.
