Assistant Controller

Job Summary The “Controller Assistant” position is located in Memphis, Tennessee, and reports to the Controller. The role is responsible for financial statement preparation, investigations, budgeting, and forecasting in accordance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements, thereby supporting business strategy and decision making. Typical Day Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports. Participate in special projects and compile special reports. Conduct ad‑hoc financial investigations for local management. Prepare receivables reports as required. Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to assess business impact on site financial position. Prepare weekly/month‑end reports for the business team. Prepare financial reports for regulators and for Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance. Assist internal and external financial audits. Support the Accounting and Costing departments. Implement HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain qualified staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent education and training. Minimum of 4 years of related experience, preferably in manufacturing/cost accounting. Advanced functional and technical skills with basic people or process management experience. Comprehensive knowledge of the accounting function and Flex’s business. Understanding of multiple functional technologies/processes across industries or functions and their interrelationships at the site. Benefits Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans.
