Job Title: CT Scan Technologist

Location: Hackensack, NJ
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM (40 hours/week)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CT Scan Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Hackensack, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) procedures, ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and exceptional patient care while collaborating with physicians and the radiology team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Review patient history, physician orders, and clinical information to ensure appropriate imaging.
• Prepare patients for CT procedures, including positioning, shielding, and use of immobilization devices.
• Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access according to established guidelines.
• Evaluate image quality using PACS and ensure studies are diagnostically acceptable.
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers to clarify imaging orders when necessary.
• Retrieve and upload outside imaging studies for comparison and interpretation.
• Provide patients with clear instructions before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in on-call coverage and overtime as required.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience on Siemens equipment .
• Knowledge of CT anatomy, physiology, patient positioning, and imaging protocols.
• Strong understanding of PACS systems.
• Active NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License .
• Current ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)) Certification .
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification .
• Ability to obtain ARRT (CT) Certification within 12 months of hire (if not already certified).

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) Certification.
• Minimum six months of CT experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience with Epic EMR and other HIS/RIS systems.
