Procurement Operations Analyst

Fintech Company Fully Remote (PST-based required) 12-16 Week Contract (Likely Through End of Year) $43-$55/hr

Our client, a leading fintech organization, is seeking a Procurement Operations Analyst to support a critical procurement process improvement and documentation initiative within its Procure-to-Pay function.

This role is ideal for someone who combines hands-on procurement experience with strong process documentation skills. The successful candidate will help rebuild and standardize procurement processes, create detailed SOPs and training materials, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency across procurement operations.

We’re looking for someone who can work independently, take ownership of projects, and quickly understand existing workflows without requiring significant direction.

Position Overview

This engagement will focus heavily on documenting, standardizing, and improving procurement processes. The individual will partner closely with procurement stakeholders to assess current-state procedures, identify gaps, and create documentation that can be easily understood and followed by others across the organization.

This is not an instructional design role. Candidates should have a strong understanding of procurement operations and be comfortable translating procurement workflows into clear, practical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and standardize procurement SOPs, work instructions, job aids, and process documentation
• Create clear and detailed process documentation for various Procure-to-Pay workflows
• Analyze current procurement processes and identify opportunities for improvement and standardization
• Partner with procurement stakeholders to gather information, validate existing processes, and document best practices
• Create and maintain process maps and workflow documentation
• Help rebuild and organize the procurement documentation library
• Support supplier master data and supplier remediation efforts
• Recommend process improvements that drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability
• Provide occasional support for day-to-day procurement operations as needed
• Independently manage assigned projects and deliverables

Qualifications

• Experience in Procurement, Procurement Operations, Purchasing, Procure-to-Pay, Supply Chain, or a related function
• Strong experience creating SOPs, work instructions, process documentation, training materials, and process maps
• Ability to understand complex business processes and document them clearly and accurately
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with indirect procurement
• Experience with supplier data management or supplier master remediation
• Experience with Oracle, Zip, Coupa, SAP, NetSuite, Ariba, or similar procurement and ERP platforms
• Experience supporting procurement transformation or process improvement initiatives
• Experience within technology, software, SaaS, or fintech organizations
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or a related field
