Business Development Representative

Position: Business Development Representative Location: Baltimore, MD Job Id: 950 # of Openings: 1 Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and results-driven New Business Developer to grow our conveyor maintenance services portfolio. This role focuses on identifying, prospecting, and closing new commercial clients with a focus on the distribution, logistics and warehouse verticals. The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable with cold outreach, and skilled at building long-term business relationships. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities Prospect through cold calling, door-to-door visits, networking, and referrals Schedule and conduct site walk-throughs and needs assessments Prepare and present customized service proposals and bids Negotiate contracts and close new business Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact during onboarding of new clients Lead the post-contract transition to operations, ensuring continuity and a seamless customer experience Maintain accurate records of sales activity in CRM or tracking system Build long-term relationships to support renewals and upsell opportunities Market & Lead Generation Research target markets and industries Identify decision-makers (property managers, facility managers, business owners) Attend networking events and industry meetings as needed Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to support growth initiatives Qualifications Required Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account acquisition Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Comfortable with cold calling and face-to-face prospecting Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Overnight Travel requirements of approximately 50%+ 5 plus years of sales experience in material handling equipment, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics.
