Location Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas, Hoboken, McLean, New York About the Role As a Manager on EY’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) Transactions team, you will advise clients on complex financial reporting and accounting matters—including revenue recognition, share‑based payments, financial asset transfers such as securitizations and factoring, consolidations, leases, and mergers and acquisitions. You will work across a broad range of industries, develop innovative solutions, and deliver a client‑focused experience without off‑the‑shelf responses. Key Responsibilities Lead diverse projects to develop deep expertise in complex accounting areas and apply that knowledge to solve client challenges. Listen closely to client needs and deliver tailored insights and exceptional service. Collaborate with colleagues inside FAAS and across other service lines to build relationships and broaden the firm’s impact. Travel as required to meet key clients. Skills and Attributes Consult clients on complex and technical accounting issues. Collaborate with partners, senior managers and clients to influence strategy, balancing risk and client expectations. Ensure the engagement team fully understands client needs, ambitions and expectations. Build relationships across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service. Manage performance and identify opportunities to improve products and processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, CPA certification, and 2–5 years of experience (preferably as an auditor in a public accounting firm). Strong technical writing and presentation skills. Thorough understanding of US GAAP. Exposure or interest in revenue recognition, share‑based payments, financial asset transfers (e.g., securitizations, factoring), consolidations, and equity method accounting. Experience with strategic transactions, such as business combinations, M&A and joint ventures. Understanding of the financial services industry and its terminology, processes and tools. Proven record of excellence in managing, mentoring and improving high‑performing teams. Confidence to research and resolve emerging client issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies. Benefits Competitive compensation based on performance.
