Mid Sized E commerce and Brick and Mortar Company ois in need of a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

3-6 Month Contract (MAYBE LONGER)

Monday through Friday IN PERSON 9-5pm

Supports day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations by accurately entering, maintaining, and validating shipment, inventory, receiving, and transfer records. This entry-level role works closely with warehouse, transportation, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure information is complete, current, and accurately reflected in company systems.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Excel, comfortable working with data, and able to communicate effectively in both an office and warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain inbound and outbound shipment information in logistics and inventory systems.

• Update transfer, delivery, receiving, and shipment records.

• Record carrier details, tracking numbers, shipping dates, delivery dates, quantities, and shipment status.

• Review shipping and receiving documents for completeness and accuracy.

• Compare packing slips, bills of lading, purchase orders, transfer documents, and system records.

• Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information and escalate discrepancies to the appropriate team.

• Maintain accurate electronic files and supporting shipment documentation.

• Assist with tracking open shipments, delayed deliveries, pending receipts, and outstanding transfers.

• Communicate with warehouse, logistics, purchasing, and operations teams to obtain missing information.

• Support the reconciliation of physical warehouse activity against system records.

• Prepare routine reports and status updates related to shipments, receipts, transfers, and inventory movement.

• Use Microsoft Excel to organize, reconcile, analyze, and report logistics and warehouse data.

• Maintain trackers using formulas, filters, sorting, conditional formatting, and pivot tables.

• Support additional administrative and operational projects as assigned.
