Senior Application Architect - Deposits Pricing and Rewards

This position is a hands‑on role to be the master builder of application architecture for business technology solutions. The incumbent will consult and lead delivery teams, create and maintain an end‑to‑end architecture aligned with business strategy, define complex solution designs, and integrate key architectural disciplines such as business, security, data, and infrastructure. Responsibilities include communicating the architectural vision, ensuring compliance with best practices and standards, mentoring peers, and influencing enterprise‑wide decisions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design and communicate the application architectural vision necessary to meet business needs. Lead the identification, planning, creation, and oversight of sound application architecture frameworks, guidelines, patterns, and standards. Navigate the appropriate review processes to identify potential architectural issues early in the development/procurement cycle and steer solutions toward sound conclusions. Identify and drive application architecture consolidation and optimization opportunities, including integration of emerging technologies. Perform proof‑of‑concepts to test technology and provide recommendations to senior management. Influence and execute across the broader enterprise organization and multiple ecosystems, including overall enterprise architecture. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field. Ten years of application development/support experience; five years of application architecture experience. Strong analytical and architectural skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, facilitation, and influence. Significant knowledge of current and emerging application architecture principles, methodologies, and tools. Experience negotiating with vendors for relevant products and services. Demonstrated strategic thinking with ability to differentiate feasible solutions. Ability to translate high‑level business planning information into application requirements. Up‑to‑date awareness of emerging technologies and industry issues to recommend appropriate solutions for business challenges. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and fifteen years of experience or equivalent education and work experience. Banking or financial services experience. Experience with Zafin or similar relationship‑based pricing, rewards, tiering, or product catalog solutions. Experience in core modernization and transformation efforts in a large, complex enterprise environment. Job Requirements / Working Conditions Visual/Audio/Speaking: Able to access and interpret client information and communicate with individuals in person or by phone. Manual Dexterity/Keyboarding: Able to use standard office equipment (PC keyboard, mouse, copier, fax, printer). Availability: Able to work all scheduled hours, including overtime as directed and required by business need. Travel: Minimal; up to 10% of time.
