Our services cover a variety of Asian languages to deliver customized solutions for every need. This is a remote role for a Japanese OPI/VRI Interpreter at AsiaLocalize. The Interpreter will be responsible for providing accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation services during OPI/VRI sessions. They will ensure clear communication between parties and uphold confidentiality and professionalism throughout each session. Responsibilities: Provide accurate and clear interpretation of verbal communication between Japanese-speaking patients and healthcare providers. Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards such as HIPAA. Accurately interpret complex medical terminology in both languages. Facilitate communication and ensure understanding between healthcare professionals and patients, ensuring cultural sensitivity. Qualifications: Fluency in Japanese and English (both spoken and written) is required. Proven experience in medical interpretation, certification in medical interpretation is a MUST (e.g., CCHI, NBCMI). Strong knowledge of medical terminology in both languages. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in high-pressure situations and maintain professionalism. Cultural competence and sensitivity when interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with legal and ethical standards. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends (if necessary). MUST have Qualifications: Previous experience working as a medical interpreter or in a healthcare setting.
