Business Data Analyst

Overview At AIG, we are reimagining how customers manage risk. Join us as a Business Data Analyst to drive data‑driven decision making and support our General Insurance products. Responsibilities Build a deep understanding of business processes to identify and address critical issues. Work with clients to determine business requirements, prioritize them, define key performance indicators, and support the ongoing BI & Data Warehouse strategy. Engage business and development teams to design, document and iterate dashboards, alerts, and reports. Lead project activities, including facilitating requirements gathering and presenting findings to all levels of management. Analyze functional business processes and requirements, drive the development of user stories as a member of an Agile Scrum Team. Educate and train clients to use data as an analytical tool, enabling exploration and insight. Qualifications BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Minimum 3 years of Business Data Analyst experience. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments. Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with an aptitude for researching complex data‑oriented problems. Proactive, results‑driven, and positive can‑do attitude. Experience working in a distributed team environment. Preferred Skills and Experience Commercial insurance and financial principles. Agile team experience as a Business Analyst. Data profiling. Strong SQL skills. Proficiency in Word, MSExcel and Visio. Experience with BI tools and Python. Exposure to APIs and understanding of XML and JSON. Experience with AI technologies. Compensation and Benefits The base salary range for this position is $85,000–$110,000 , with bonus eligibility as per AIG incentive plan.
