Make a difference supporting elementary students in a dynamic school environment during the upcoming academic year. A highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) is needed to fill a contract maternity leave from November 2026 through March 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate within an experienced team, with additional support from an on-site SLPA.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Speech and Hearing Disabilities (all levels)
- Massachusetts Board of Allied Health license (current or eligible)
- Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Previous school-based SLP experience, particularly in elementary settings
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Please note: Clinical Fellows (CFs) are not being considered for this position
Role Details and Responsibilities:
- Contract position; 34 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:45 am – 2:33 pm
- Provide direct speech-language services to a diverse caseload at a single elementary school
- Complete evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other specialists to maximize student progress
- Manage and prioritize caseload responsibilities in partnership with an SLPA
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
