Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active Standard AZ Orientation & Mobility Specialist (O&M) Endorsement required
• Completion of an accredited O&M program
• Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) credential
• IVP fingerprint clearance card
• At least one year of experience providing O&M services in a school setting preferred
• Ability to work onsite throughout the duration of the contract (no virtual option available)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and recordkeeping skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction in orientation and mobility techniques for eligible students
• Assess student needs, develop goals, and create individualized training plans
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
• Travel between assigned school sites as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team consultations
• Educate school personnel on best practices for supporting students with mobility needs
