KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Flavor Maestro: Supervise and assist in food preparation ensuring high standards of quality taste and presentation across all outlets while maintaining safety expectations.
• Kitchen Captain: Lead motivate coach and discipline kitchen personnel to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation and service.
• Culinary Number Cruncher: Manage food costs budgets and maximize cost/production ratios to optimize financial performance.
• Sanitation Superstar: Maintain cleanliness sanitation and safety in the kitchen work and storage areas adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Quick-Fix Guru: Anticipate and address issues proactively to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Communication Connoisseur: Clearly convey information and resolve concerns from co-workers and guests effectively.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• A two-year college degree with at least three years of related experience or a four-year college degree with a minimum of one year of related experience is preferred.
• Five years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field including required supervisory experience.
• Ability to handle stressful high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity.
• Must meet certification requirements which may include Food Handlers Alcohol Awareness CPR and First Aid.

The hotel features an onsite restaurant The Craft Room serving Midwesterninspired dishes and cocktails. With 21 meeting venues the property supports business events and weddings in an upscale setting. Team members help maintain clean comfortable guest rooms with minirefrigerators and support amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools. Its a versatile environment suited for staff who enjoy serving a mix of business travelers event guests and families.
