Regular travel of approximately 50% is required to support locations and business operations across a multi-state region.Position OverviewThe Regional Safety Manager will be responsible to lead and manage the efforts to promote safe and compliant practices within our Corporate Health & Safety Dept. In the field of Construction, the Regional Safety Manager will be focused on providing safety expertise along with risk recognition/reduction skill, driving the goal of “Zero Accidents or injuries” through a proactive, safe work practice that utilizes prevention and mitigation techniques when assessing potential risks. Key traits for the individual in this position are: highly developed communication skills, team player, trainer, strategic and creative, excellent project management skills and the ability to drive performance from all areas within the company.One position available to support a multi-state territory. Candidates must reside in CA, OR, WA, or AZ, with a strong preference for candidates located in California.Essential FunctionsRegional Lead Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Maintain current knowledge of safety trends and practices in the industry to adapt to changing safety environmentIdentify and implement company best practices to create standards in order to continuously improve safety practicesManages safety region to eliminate occupational injuries and illnessesAssist in the development and implementation of safety training programs related to occupational injuries directly related to the construction/manufacturing industryAssist in the development and implementation of safety policies and proceduresCommunication and Reporting Compiles, analyzes, and interprets statistical data related to exposure factors concerning occupational illnesses and/or accidents and prepares reports for informational purposesAct with a sense of fiduciary responsibility.Prepares incident reports for regions and works with operations on dissemination, review and recommended actionsCompile and submit reports required by company management, regulatory agencies (OSHA), which also includes Ad Hoc reporting where necessary.Audit/CompliancePerform comprehensive EHS facility and field auditsCreate corrective action plans based on audit findings and partner with operations for deliverablesFacilitate timely completion and closure of corrective action plansSubject matter expert on all corporate and governmental regulatory issues within assigned regionConduct and facilitate field and facility safety meetings and trainingRegional Safety Management (Day to Day Operations)Train and develop regional resources on overall Construction SafetyInvestigate Injuries and Incidents and develop root cause analysis and corrective action plansDocument all Injury and Incident Scenarios, Causes in company EHS information systemCommunicate Injury and Incident Scenario along with Root and Contributing Causes to the organization to facilitate proactive injury and incident avoidance activity.Manage OSHA citations and investigations within assigned regionAnalyze metrics and review monthly incidents to understand trends and align resources to focus on key areasAudit data collection and reporting practices to confirm compliance with federal and state regulationsEducation & Certifications, preferredBachelor’s Degree (highly preferred) Certified Safety Professional (CSP), preferredAssociate Safety Professional (ASP), preferredConstruction Health Safety Technician (CHST), preferredLegal Age Requirements:At least 18 years of ageExperience5+ Years’ ExperienceType of Required Experience:OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations and safety administration in a transportation, construction, distribution, general industry or warehousing environment.Proficient in OSHA & EPA Regulations, State and Federal laws, along with proficient knowledge in all Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.Work Location: Remote (California Resident preferred)This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the multi-state territory with a strong preference for candidates located in California. Candidates must maintain a primary residence in the assigned territory and be available to travel up to 50% throughout a designated multi-state territory.THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITIONCompensation offered is highly dependent on qualifications, certifications, skills and experience.Compensation Range:$90,000.00 - $135,000.00To comply with Pay Transparency laws, employers must disclose an annual salary range. Actual offers depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, and market data.
