Business Analyst

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support a rapidly growing Open Banking initiative focused on improving the customer banking experience through secure financial data sharing and bank connectivity solutions. This individual will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, drive planning activities, coordinate end-to-end testing efforts, and ensure successful delivery of multiple strategic projects.

This role sits within a SAFe Agile environment and will play a key role in PI Planning, backlog refinement, dependency management, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate is a highly technical Business Analyst who is comfortable working with APIs, integrations, and complex enterprise applications.

This candidate has to sit onsite 3 days a week in Charlotte.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and QA teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Lead PI Planning sessions, backlog refinement sessions, and sprint planning activities within a SAFe Agile framework.
• Identify, manage, and communicate project dependencies, risks, and impacts across multiple initiatives.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing efforts, ensuring successful integration with larger enterprise programs and external partners.
• Support delivery of Open Banking capabilities leveraging bank connectivity and financial data-sharing platforms.
• Facilitate discussions between technical and business teams to ensure alignment on requirements and delivery expectations.
• Perform impact analysis and ensure requirements are properly refined and prioritized for development teams.
Work within Jira and Agile delivery tools to track requirements, progress, and project outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technical software development projects.
• Experience eliciting, documenting, and managing business and system requirements.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with hands-on experience working in SAFe Agile environments.
• Experience leading PI Planning sessions, backlog refinement sessions, and managing team dependencies.
• Experience supporting end-to-end testing efforts and documenting acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience utilizing Jira and other Agile project management tools.


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience working with APIs, system integrations, or Open Banking platforms.
• Understanding of Financial Data Exchange (FDX) standards and secure customer data-sharing frameworks.
• Knowledge of institutions and ecosystems such as Wells Fargo, Chase, Citi, or other Open Banking providers.
