Medical Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Access Representative
Navy Yard – Philadelphia, PA
Immediate Start | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

A busy specialty healthcare practice located in the Navy Yard area of Philadelphia is seeking a professional and polished Medical Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Access Representative to join the team immediately on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

This is a patient-facing role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical office environment and is comfortable managing both administrative responsibilities and high-touch patient interactions.

Schedule
Primary schedule will be:

• Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 2:30 PM (30-minute lunch)

Compensation

• $20–$25/hour

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Collect, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Support patient access and front desk operations
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow
• Maintain professionalism and discretion in a concierge-style healthcare environment
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems for patient documentation and scheduling

Qualifications

• Previous medical front desk, patient access, or healthcare receptionist experience required
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional, polished, and reliable demeanor
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy office setting
• Comfortable interacting with patients in a high-touch specialty practice

Preferred Backgrounds
Experience in any of the following environments is a plus:

• Orthopedics, Physical Therapy, Imaging Centers, Surgery Centers, Specialty Medical Practices
