Training Specialist - USCG FRC PRO

Overview Insight Technology Solutions is pursuing an opportunity providing subject matter expertise and technical services in support of the SENTINEL Class Fast Response Cutter (FRC) patrol boat acquisition in Lockport, LA. The role includes administrative, logistics, systems engineering support services across propulsion, electrical, mechanical, welding & fabrication, command and control and other systems. Insight Technology Solutions is looking to identify a Trainer. Location: Lockport, Louisiana (with moderate travel) Please note: This position is contingent upon the company being awarded the applicable government contract. Responsibilities Coordinate, observe and evaluate shipbuilder and vendor provided familiarization and factory training. Review and coordinate shipbuilder training schedules and classes. Act as liaison to cutter crews for logistics involving airport arrival/departure, hotels, class scheduling, and other needs. Inventory management of cutter boat and spare parts and ship’s initial outfit inventory. Orient crews and provide FRC drawings, FRC technical information and other materials to familiarize new FRC crews with the Cutter. Coordinate maintenance and minor repairs to ship’s assigned cutter boat and trailer. Lead inspector duties for shipboard painting, flooring installations, and cleanliness of fuel, oil, and waste tanks. Conduct pre-delivery cutter cleanliness walkthrough of the entire ship and final paint inspections prior to acceptance. Train cutter crews on cutter engineering maintenance, housekeeping, and paint repair. Obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. Conduct production assessments and inspections of main propulsion systems and subcomponents during installation and witness follow-on dockside testing and underway testing. Qualifications Position requires member to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
