Position Overview

We are expanding our national data center footprint and seeking a dynamic Project Safety Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) operations in fast-paced, high-stakes construction environments. This critical onsite leadership role will build a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance, and help every project team return home safely each day. The successful candidate will train at our Plano, Texas headquarters before deploying to major data center projects across the United States as part of our mobile workforce. This role is ideal for a decisive leader, skilled communicator, and construction safety expert who can elevate performance, mentor teams, and represent an uncompromising commitment to safety excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Leadership

·         Partner daily with site leadership to strengthen the safety culture and maintain full compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.

·         Serve as the onsite authority for EHS inspections, audits, daily walks, toolbox talks, and real-time risk mitigation.

·         Maintain a visible, engaged presence and model “Safety First” in every aspect of site operations.

Team Development

·         Lead and mentor EHS Specialists and Safety Coordinators, including task delegation, scheduling, and talent development.

·         Deliver effective onboarding, training, and safety coaching for field staff, subcontractors, and visitors.

Incident Prevention and Response

·         Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analyses (RCAs), and implement corrective actions.

·         Champion continuous improvement practices that reduce risk, prevent recurrence, and strengthen site performance.

EHS Operations and Communication

·         Serve as the communication link among Corporate EHS, site teams, subcontractors, and client partners.

·         Manage EHS documentation, safety data sheet (SDS) inventories, metrics, and the reporting cadence to the EHS Program Manager.

·         Review and refine EHS processes, procedures, and forms to keep projects aligned with corporate standards.

·         Bring consistent leadership and proactive safety management to each new project site across the United States.

·         Outstanding analytical ability, including expertise in incident investigations, RCAs, and hazard mitigation.

·         Ability to create structure, build processes, implement improvements, and drive consistent EHS performance.

·         A positive, resilient attitude and the ability to adapt professionally under pressure.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related field, or a Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) certification such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or OHST.

·         Eight or more years of progressive EHS leadership experience in the construction industry.

·         OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 500 or 510 strongly preferred.

·         Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.

·         Extensive hands-on experience with inspections, incident investigations, process safety, contractor safety, and safety training.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365, including Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as digital reporting systems.

·         Ability to travel nationwide as part of a mobile deployment team supporting large-scale data center construction.
