CVOR Registered Nurse

Job Summary As a CVOR Registered Nurse, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn – whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing. Responsibilities Have an understanding of aseptic technique and apply the knowledge to maintain a sterile field, assist in procedures, or prep a patient for surgery. Demonstrate knowledge of which areas need to be prepped for different kinds of procedures. Assess the patient prior to surgery and establish that the patient understands the procedure being done and that a timeout be done prior to any procedure with the rest of the perioperative team. Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team. Have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred). Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi‑State Compact License (employees with RN Compact must obtain a Texas RN license within 90 days of hire). Current BLS and ACLS certification required. CNOR preferred. 1 year of clinical CVOR experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting (e.g., Operating Room, Surgery, Surgical Services, Cardiovascular).
