You will work collaboratively across HR, Compliance, and business teams to manage risk and enable business success. Join us and help shape a workplace environment grounded in integrity, accountability, and innovation.Apply today for this extraordinary opportunity with Enbridge!**What You Will Do:*** Provide strategic and day-to-day legal advice on U.S. labor and employment laws, including FLSA compliance, leave management (FMLA), accommodations, and workplace policies.* Manage employment-related matters such as litigation, investigations, labor arbitrations, discrimination claims, background checks (FCRA), and employee discipline.* Advise on regulatory compliance, including matters involving the Department of Labor, EEOC, and other federal and state agencies.* Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures by assessing employment-related risks and negotiating terms and conditions.* Lead and support internal investigations in partnership with HR and Compliance while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.* Deliver training to HR and business leaders on employment law developments, compliance obligations, and joint employment considerations.* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and manage external counsel, including budgeting and oversight of legal support services.* Work collaboratively with the Company’s compensation and benefits attorney on issues related to employee and executive compensation and benefits.* Responsible for management of outside counsel, including budget management, where they may provide support in these areas.**Who You Are:*** A qualified lawyer with a law degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar, with 4+ years of labor and employment law experience.* Possess strong knowledge across a broad range of employment law areas, including litigation, compliance, and workplace investigations.* A collaborative and pragmatic problem-solver with excellent analytical, negotiation, and legal reasoning skills.* Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others in a diverse and dynamic enterprise and coordinate a variety of internal and external activities having legal significance to the Company.* Able to manage competing priorities independently while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.* An effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.* Demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, and ethical decision-making in all aspects of work.* Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of building strong relationships across a dynamic enterprise.**Preferred:*** Experience in the liquids or gas pipelines industries would be an asset.* In-house litigation management experience would be a plus.**Working Conditions:*** Primarily office-based role with occasional travel to Enbridge locations or third-party sites, including potential international travel.* Ability to manage a high-volume workload while delivering timely, practical legal advice within tight deadlines.* Fast-paced, high-demand office environment requiring responsiveness and adaptability.* Significant independence and autonomy in managing day-to-day responsibilities and priorities.* Strong focus required, including extensive reading, analysis, and active listening.* Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet business demands.Salary Ranges from $130,000 – $170,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
