Compensation: $16.00 per hour Responsibilities Assist the business goals of the insurance agency with mutually agreed upon expectations. Provide assistance to our sales and service team members. Duties may include: answering phones update policyholders contact information work our beginning of day reports where additional information is needed scan and attach documents as needed provide evidence of insurance from lenders and mortgage companies assist policyholders in registering on statefarm.com answer billing questions and collect and enter payments contact prospects or policyholders to schedule appointments for our sales and service team contacting prospects to gather information to hand off to our sales team collect claim information to share with our licensed team members collect renewal payments other duties as they arise Qualifications To be eligible for an internship, you must be a full-time student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program throughout the duration of the internship. Coursework or expressed interest in areas such as Insurance, Financial Services, Real Estate, Marketing, etc. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as operate independently. Effective customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to create, build, and maintain relationships with internal and external parties. Prioritization, time management, and organizational skills to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. About Our Agency We help customers with their insurance and financial services needs, including Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Life Insurance, Business Insurance, Health Insurance, and Renters Insurance. Our office is located in Somerset in north Ames. Our office is open 8 to 5:30 M-TH, F 8:00 to 4:00 (evenings and Saturdays by appointment). I have been a State Farm agent since 1995.
